Run defense returns

Over the past several weeks, the Bills run defense has been ugly, to say the least. Against the Browns in Week 10, the Bills got lucky, really. Cleveland running back Nick Chubb had a 100-plus yard game against the Bills, but in the second half, he really didn’t get the ball much. That helped keep the game close.

Against the Dolphins, the Bills completely shut the run game down. Kalen Ballage had a rushing score. But on that same score on the goal line, that brought him to zero yards rushing on the day. That’s the kind of run defense the Bills had against Miami. Ballage finished the day with nine yards on nine carries against the Bills.

And yes, the Dolphins aren’t good. But the Bills face the Broncos and a one-two punch with Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay next week. A confidence builder is what the Bills needed and got.
