5 storylines to follow during Bills at Cowboys

The Bills visit the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday for a Thanksgiving Day meeting. It’s the first time in about 25 seasons that the Bills have had the national spotlight on them while turkey was being served.

Can Josh Allen stack consistent outings?

The Cowboys offense gets a lot of the credit. The defense doesn’t nearly as much, but that unit is good, too. The Bills are facing the No.1 overall offense and No. 6 overall defense. That’s one good team that curiously only has a 6-5 record.

But there is hope. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen had a heck of a game against the No. 4 defense in the Denver Broncos just last week. The week prior he was pretty good, but that was against the lowly Dolphins.

Allen only had 185 passing yards against the Broncos, but was 15-for-25 passing and completed 60 percent of his passes. He made all the passes he needed to, even the deep ball, and as someone who really wants to see him surpass 300 yards passing in a single game, he was impressive.

If Allen can have another strong outing against a strong opponent and win? A lot of the doubters are going to be quiet. Also worth noting: Allen has never played a primetime game. He missed last season’s Monday Night Football outing due to injury.

You’re a long way from Wyoming, Josh.
