4-star WR Hykeem Williams names top six schools

Four-star wide receiver Hykeem Williams considers the Georgia Bulldogs to be among his favorite schools.

Four-star wide receiver Hykeem Williams considers the Georgia Bulldogs among his favorite schools. Williams is a talented recruit in the class of 2023.

Williams ranks as the nation’s No. 48 player overall in the rising recruiting class. Williams is the seventh-ranked receiver in the nation and the No. 13 recruit in Florida. The Georgia Bulldogs offered Williams in January 2021.

The highly-ranked four-star recruit puts Miami, Alabama, Florida State, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M and Georgia in his top six. According to 247Sports, Williams is favored to commit to either Miami or Texas A&M.

Williams plays football and basketball for Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Williams spoke with Kristian Dyer of RutgersWire regarding his recruitment back in January.

“The top three after me the hardest right now are Rutgers, Georgia and I’d say Miami,” Williams told Rutgers Wire. “Those are the three after me the hardest.”

Williams has built a strong relationship with the Georgia coaches. Watching the Bulldogs win the national title certainly furthered the 6-foot-3, 195-pound receiver’s interest in the Bulldogs.

“Georgia, man. They just won the national championship. And actually, before they even won, I mean, they were doing great with me – like I was talking to them throughout the year. I have built a great relationship with them before … with coach [Dell] McGee, coach (Kirby) Smart I built a really great relationship with them. And, man, they just had a great season this year.”

Williams also spoke about the recruiting pitch he has received from the Georgia coaches.

“They just tell me how they will use me if I come over there. And  honestly they could just keep it rolling if I go there because right now they’re on a great path. So if they can develop me to where I want to be…then we can just keep rolling.”

We will provide updates as Williams’ recruitment develops. Georgia already has one commitment from a four-star wide receiver in the class of 2023 in Raymond Cottrell.
