Alpharetta star tight end recruit Ethan Barbour is projected to commit to Georgia football

Four-star tight end recruit Ethan Barbour is projected to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs. Barbour plans to announce his commitment very soon on Sept. 22. The elite tight end prospect is a member of the class of 2025.

Ethan Barbour plays high school football for Alpharetta High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. Barbour holds more than two dozen scholarship offers.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound tight end is the No. 4 tight end in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Barbour is ranked as the No. 179 recruit in his class and the No. 21 recruit in Georgia, per 247Sports.

Georgia tight end coach Todd Hartley has done an excellent job of recruiting the tight end position in recent seasons. He has signed elite recruits like Brock Bowers, Lawson Luckie, and more.

The Alpharetta standout visited Georgia football for the spring game back in April. Kirby Smart and Georgia already have a commitment from the top tight end in the class of 2025 in Elyiss Williams.

Barbour’s top contenders are Ohio State, Auburn, South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. However, Georgia is favored to land a commitment from the four-star tight end.

Georgia holds the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class in the class of 2024 and 2025.
