3-Point Shot Wisconsin vs. Penn State

What are three things Wisconsin needs to do in order to win on the road against Penn Sate?

MID-RANGE: WISCONSIN’S ABILITY TO GENERATE AN OFFENSIVE RHYTHM

In Wisconsin’s loss to Illinois, the Badgers lacked consistent ball movement as the Badgers had a season low five assists on their 23 made field goals.

The Badgers will need to improve upon this area against Penn State considering the Nittany Lions are allowing Big Ten opponents to shoot 44.9 percent (105-for-234) from the field and 41.2 percent (35-for-85) from three.

If Wisconsin is able to effectively move the basketball around and make Penn State work on the defensive end the Badgers should be able to consistently create open shots for themselves.

Taking advantage of those open shots will be key as Wisconsin over their first two Big Ten road games the Badgers has shot 42.3 percent (44-for-104) from the field and has averaged 8.5 assists over their two road games.

With Penn State allowing 83.3 points over conference play the opportunities for Wisconsin to have success on the offensive end will be there. Wisconsin can help themselves by getting into a rhythm on offense by making sure Penn State doesn’t hold them to one shot per offensive possession.

Penn State this season is allowing 11 offensive rebounds per game and the more opportunities the Badgers can create for themselves will allow for Wisconsin to stay in the game against the Nittany Lions.
