The New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions filed their injury reports on Wednesday, with Michael Thomas, Marcus Davenport limited participants

The New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions issued their official injury report for Wednesday, Sept. 30, and one side appears to be in considerably greater health.
New Orleans practiced without either of it starting cornerbacks turning in a full day’s work; Janoris Jenkins missed practice with an undefined illness, while Marshon Lattimore was limited with a hamstring injury. Hamstring issues have dogged Lattimore back to his college days at Ohio State, but it’s something he’s played through before, so stay tuned throughout the week for updates.
But the big news of the day was the return of wide receiver Michael Thomas, whose ankle injury limited his participation. If Thomas can turn in three solid days of work, he could suit up against Detroit this Sunday, which would be a huge addition to the Saints offense.
Additionally, the Saints saw two starting defensive linemen practice on a limited basis. Right end Marcus Davenport is still recovering from his elbow injury, while three-technique tackle David Onyemata is getting back up to speed after he missed Week 3’s game with a last-minute calf issue. Getting them both back in the lineup could be what the Saints need to play competitive defense after falling short the last two weeks.

The Arizona Cardinals take on the Carolina Panthers this weekend on the road. Carolina released their first injury report of the week and had three players sit out and another five limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Rookie defensive lineman Derrick Brown sat out but was just given the day off. Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos was listed with an illness and tackle Russell Okung sat out with a groin injury.
Among those who were limited were safety Jeremy Chinn with a hip injury, guard Dennis Daley with an ankle injury, cornerback Donte Jackson with a toe injury, defensive tackle Kawaan Short with a foot injury and linebacker Adarius Taylor with a hip injury.
Receiver Curtis Samuel was a full participant in practice but was listed with an elbow injury.
With RB Tarik Cohen placed on injured reserve, the Bears explored some veteran options on the free-agent market.
The Chicago Bears lost an important offensive weapon when Tarik Cohen suffered a torn ACL during last Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, effectively ending his fourth season.
While Bears head coach Matt Nagy has expressed his faith in the current crop of running backs on the roster to step in, it certainly doesn’t hurt to turn to the free-agent market for some veteran options.
The Bears worked out a group of running backs on Wednesday, including veteran Lamar Miller, who spent the last four seasons with the Houston Texans, according to the transactions wire.

Chicago also worked out Jonathan Williams, Dalyn Dawkins and Tavien Feaster.
Miller is certainly the best option on the market, but he’s coming off a torn ACL suffered last preseason. Miller spent the three seasons before that as the lead ball for the Texans, where he tallied 2,934 rushing yards with 13 touchdowns. He’s also a weapon in the passing game, something the Bears are losing with Cohen. Miller had 92 receptions for 678 yards and five touchdowns during his time in Houston.
The Bears would do well to bring in a veteran running back behind starter David Montgomery. The rest of the current running backs room includes Cordarrelle Patterson, Ryan Nall and undrafted rookie Artavis Pierce.
Raiders Wednesday Injury Report: LB Nick Kwiatkoski returns to practice
The Raiders held their first practice of the week as they prepare to host the Buffalo Bills in Week 4.
The team got a bit of good news in their Wednesday practice as linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski returned to the field after missing the last two games with a pectoral injury. It remains to be seen if he will be available for this contest, but his return to practice means that he is getting close.
However, starting right tackle Trent Brown did not practice on Wednesday, but his backup in Sam Young did. While Young practiced last week as well, it does appear he is getting closer to returning to game action, if needed. Here is the full practice report via the Las Vegas Raiders:
We will continue to update the status of all of the injured players throughout the week. Make sure to check back here at the Raiders Wire for all of the latest news and updates from practice.
Correa is the fourth player to test positive for the virus.
We now know who the fourth Tennessee Titans player to test positive for COVID-19 is after the team placed outside linebacker Kamalei Correa on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday, per the league’s transactions wire.
Correa now joins defensive lineman DaQuan Jones, long snapper Beau Brinkley and practice squad tight end Tommy Hudson as the four players who have tested positive thus far.
On top of those four players, there are five unnamed Titans personnel who have also tested positive, but we don’t know exactly who that is.
Correa has played sparingly through the first three games of the season, serving as the Titans’ reserve outside linebacker.
The Titans have four more outside linebackers on their roster in Jadeveon Clowney, Harold Landry, Vic Beasley and Derick Roberson. Tennessee also has training camp standout Wyatt Ray on the practice squad if need be.
The Titans’ Week 4 game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers has been postponed, but the league has said it will likely take place on either Monday or Tuesday.
LeBron James dwarfed the growth of anybody else in terms of social media followers since the NBA restarted back in late July.
While LeBron James has been doing the unthinkable on the court in his 17th season, he’s been incredibly busy off the court as well. His ‘More Than A Vote’ non-profit has been working diligently to open stadiums across the country as polling places and helping ex-felons get their voting rights back. His entertainment businesses have struck deals with Disney and Universal Studios since the restart and he has the best-selling jersey in the league. He’s also been The King of the NBA when it comes to social media growth during the NBA restart.
The NBA tabulated the growth in social media followers since the NBA Restart and LeBron James dwarfed the competition, seeing a growth of over 4 million followers across Twitter and Instagram. Second to LeBron was Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro, followed by Portland Trail Blazers star and Seeding Games MVP Damian Lillard.
Check out the Cardinals’ initial injury report of Week 4.
The Arizona Cardinals released their first injury report of the week, as they prepare for their Week 4 road matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Six players sat out Wednesday’s practice and another four were limited.
Veteran defensive lineman Corey Peters and receiver Larry Fitzgerald were given the day off. This is not surprising.
There were two previously unknown injuries. Receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who would normally have had the day off, was listed with an ankle injury and linebacker Devon Kennard also missed practice. He was listed with a calf injury.
Safeties Budda Baker, who had thumb surgery this week, and Chris Banjo, who left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury, both also did not practice.
Receiver Christian Kirk, who missed Sunday’s game with a groin injury, and center Mason Cole, who missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, both were limited. Cole had not practiced in two weeks and Kirk missed practice all last week.
Defensive lineman Zach Allen (knee) and linebacker Dennis Gardeck (foot) also were limited.
