16. Denver Broncos 2020 NFL Draft
– Apparently, Denver would like to give Drew Lock some help. The team needed help for plenty of spots, but Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy fell right into its lap at the 15. If that wasn’t enough speed and quickness, it got its own potential version of Tyreek Hill in Penn State’s KJ Hamler in the second round.
And then came the sneaky-good get – Locks’s Missouri tight end, Albert Okwuegbunam fell to the fourth round. Florida’s Tyrie Cleveland in the seventh round wasn’t a bad flier, either.

– What the Broncos didn’t do was give Lock more protection. Fresno State OG Netane Muti in the sixth round was at least a body to throw at the line, but they didn’t take any offensive tackles in a draft loaded with them. However …
– LSU C Lloyd Cushenberry was a terrific pick in the third round. It became a strength-in-bodies draft late – if either fourth-rounder Justin Strnad from Wake Forest or seventh-round pick Derrk Tuszka from North Dakota State pans out, it would be huge – but Jeudy and Hamler will make-or-break this group.
