As stay-at-home orders have eased throughout the United States, nearly two dozen NBA teams have been given clearance to re-open their practice facilities for voluntary workouts.

The NBA previously announced that teams could begin re-opening practice facilities on May 8 under strict guidelines. The league mandated that gyms could open in a limited capacity in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

For example, the New Orleans Pelicans have only made two baskets available for shooting drills with only one player present at each station. Training and weight rooms have been limited to just one player at a time and trainers working with players must wear masks and gloves.

According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, 18 teams have re-opened or will re-open practice facilities starting on Thursday. In addition to the 16 teams below, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves have since joined the list.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver is reportedly looking to make a decision regarding the status of the 2019-20 season within the next 3-4 weeks. The belief around the NBA is the season will resume in one or two host cities, such as Las Vegas or the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.
