Xavier Worthy blows by Ravens defense for second NFL touchdown

#Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy scored his second touchdown of the night against the #Ravens on this outstanding play in the fourth quarter.

The Kansas City Chiefs wasted no time giving rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy scoring opportunities in their first regular season game.

After two scoreless drives, quarterback Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs’ offense down the field early in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s game.

Mahomes utilized the Chiefs’ depth on offense to spread the ball to his playmakers and took a hard hit on the sideline before finding speedster Worthy for the receiver’s second touchdown of the game.

Take a look at this video of Worthy’s 35-yard touchdown, which was posted by the Chiefs on Twitter:

The Chiefs had high expectations of the former Texas Longhorn after he ran the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL Combine history, and the team is putting his skills to good use against Baltimore.

Thursday’s performance by Worthy should give Chiefs fans confidence that the rookie can be a productive member of head coach Andy Reid’s offense.
