War … what is it good for? Absolutely nothing when it’s the real thing, but when it’s WarGames we’re talking about, it should be fine entertainment. WWE Survivor Series 2022 is giving us a double dose of WarGames from the TD Garden in Boston, with one of the dual-ring, steel cage, team-based matches for the men and women.
The former will see the Bloodline take on a coalition of the Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens. While Roman Reigns‘ faction would figure to have an edge in solidarity due to their familial bonds, all is not harmonious on the Island of Relevancy as KO has already managed to get inside the head of Honorary Uce Sami Zayn. Whether Sami’s loyalty might be found wanting at the worst possible time is just one of the subplots worth watching on Saturday night.
The Women’s WarGames match should be no less intriguing, as a team gathered by Bianca Belair attempts to prevail over Damage CTRL and their two enthusiastic allies, Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley. The late addition of Becky Lynch could be a blessing, a curse or both, but it’s sure to shake up an already combustible situation.
Three other matches will try their best to steal the card. Seth Rollins will defend his United States Championship against both Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory, Shotzi will attempt to write the next chapter of her underdog story by toppling Ronda Rousey, and AJ Styles will take a shot at putting The Judgment Day behind him once and for all if he can defeat former friend Finn Balor.
We’ll be updating this post with live WWE Survivor Series results all night, including for the two WarGames matches. Bookmark this page and check back throughout the evening for all the latest from what should be an eventful show from Boston.
