WWE Raw results 10/23/23: The Judgment Day keeps making moves

Rhea Ripley signed a contract but also kept up a seeming recruiting drive on WWE Raw.

OK, so I have no idea if this headline is actually true since The Judgment Day has never invited me or any of the Wrestling Junkie crew to one of their celebrations. That’s also true tonight on WWE Raw from Dallas.

Why are they in such a triumphant mood? Well, it just so happens that despite some infighting over the past few weeks, the group came together in a big way last Monday, with everyone playing their part to ensure Damian Priest and Finn Balor reclaimed the tag team titles from Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

Not sure the group can rightfully claim to hold “most of the gold in WWE” like it says in WWE’s official preview for tonight’s show, but everyone but Dominik Mysterio is back in possession of a title, so that seems like plenty of reason to celebrate to me.

Oh, but Priest also has to face Uso tonight, so that only heightens the chances of Main Event Jey coming out to spoil the mood during the show-opening segment. Yeet.

There’s plenty of other stuff to look forward to in Big D. Logan Paul will be on hand, though it’s not readily apparent why since the man he just called out, Rey Mysterio, works on SmackDown. Becky Lynch will once again put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line, this time against Indi Hartwell.

Drew McIntyre will battle Sami Zayn as the two men continue to disagree about whether a person can turn over a new leaf and be forgiven for past misdeeds. And The New Day will take on Alpha Academy as jostling for position for a tag team title shot continues.

So plenty for us to sink our teeth into, which is not a poor Halloween season/vampire joke, promise. If you are otherwise engaged tonight, we got you.

WWE Raw results 07/17/23: New champs, big tag team main event

Several SummerSlam matches were also finalized during this week’s WWE Raw from Atlanta.

The first time Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, no one ever beat them for the titles. That’s something they will once again be trying to avoid tonight on WWE Raw from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

The once and current champs only saw the straps slip away because of an injury to Morgan. Raquel tried to regroup with a new partner, but instead saw Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler win the gold.

All became right in their world, however, when Morgan returned and the MMA besties had their friendship disintegrate in a very public way during a title match. Morgan and Rodriguez reclaimed what was rightfully theirs, but they’ve yet to defend their championship.

Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville may not have seemed like a legitimate threat a few weeks ago, but WWE has done a nice job building them up and making them earn this shot. It still feels too early for another title change, but you never know.

One thing that’s a bit more certain is the other thing that WWE has been heavily promoting for Raw this week. Cody Rhodes hasn’t gotten Brock Lesnar out of his system just yet, and he made that clear by challenging the Beast Incarnate to a third bout at SummerSlam in just a few weeks. Lesnar is supposed to be in Atlanta tonight to give his response, but does anyone really think he’s going to say no? Or that the two men won’t end up fighting again if they’re under the same roof at the same time?

As the Magic 8-Ball might say, signs point to no. But signs very much point to yes for us watching everything that goes down in Atlanta tonight.

WWE Raw results from Atlanta:

Cody Rhodes, come on down. The American Nightmare appears dressed for a fight even though he’s ostensibly out here to talk. Or maybe not, because Rhodes says Brock Lesnar usually accepts challenges and should do so again, no chatting necessary.

The fans boo as no music hits and no Brock appears. Cody instead tears up as he points out his mom, Michelle, and mentions how his relationship with Lesnar is “hard times.” Welp, enjoy Raw everyone, as Rhodes hugs family and friends.

Oh, or maybe not, as now Lesnar’s music hits. As it hits again, Rhodes goes looking for Lsnar, who was apparently waiting right off-stage with a steel chair. This … probably won’t end well for Rhodes. He takes an F5 right in front of his mom, and Lesnar follows by locking in a kimura.

Another kimura is applied in the ring before Lesnar yells that the challenge is accepted, so he’ll see Rhodes at SummerSlam.

Gunther def. Matt Riddle by pinfall

The big deal for this one is that Gunther’s Imperium goons, Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser, have to watch backstage as they’ve been banned from ringside. Also, Riddle’s ankle is feeling better.

Alas, neither of those things end up mattering, with Gunther pinning Riddle clean in a moderately short encounter.

Reveling in some boos from the crowd, Gunther stands atop the announce desk and calls this the greatest night in the fans’ lives. It feels like a good time for Drew McIntyre to come out, but nope.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez say that being champs means they need to be ready for anything tonight, but are they ready for Rhea Ripley? The Judgment Day’s badass attacks Liv and starts brawling with Raquel, who looks like she needs attention for her left knee.

The Judgment Day comes out for what appears to be its weekly brag session. Ripley is already a champ, says Finn Balor and Damian Priest will be as well, and Dominik Mysterio will become NXT North American Champion Tuesday night.

Priest reiterates that Balor gets first crack at Seth Rollins, and Finn says the issues between them will never be over until his arm is raised as World Heavyweight Champion. As Dom tries in vain to speak over the boos again, though, he’s interrupted by the arrival of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Sami asks rhetorically if the fans paid to hear Dom talk or someone shut him up, then says they’re in luck because the tag team champs will get to do that tonight.

In response, Priest wonders if KO and Zayn are confident enough to put their titles on the line tonight. Sami defers to Kevin for a response, and he emphatically accepts.

Rodriguez is “technically” cleared to compete, and Adam Pearce somewhat reluctantly agrees the tag team title match is still on.

Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville def. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez by pinfall to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

It seems pretty smart to give the champs a handicap, as it were, to make this matchup even more compelling. The heels are smart about being aggressive early, going right after Raquel’s bad wheel.

Green is able to hit her finisher on Morgan, but Liv kicks out at two to keep the match going. But with Rodriguez out of commission on the outside, she’s fighting alone, and after a second Unpretty Her and a running knee strike from Deville, we’ve got new champs.

Green thanks some hilarious people. including the person at the tanning salon, for her victory, while Deville says they plan on running the division and everyone better respect them.

The weekly Bloodline update from SmackDown arrives in video highlight form.

Seth Rollins sits down with “Sax-man” Byron Saxton to talk about his “big plans” for the World Heavyweight Championship. He says it’s a very short list of potential challengers for SummerSlam, at which point Balor crashes the convo and says he wants his rematch.

But Rollins says the title is bigger than Balor’s personal vendetta, and even bigger than him. He tells Balor he can take his shot right there if they just want to settle things, and after teasing like he’s leaving, Finn takes him up on it, laying out the champ and telling him to make the match.

Viking Raiders def. Alpha Academy by pinfall in a Viking Rules match

Titus O’Neil joins the announcers for commentary and immediately raises the humor level of the broadcast. The idea is that there are no rules and falls count anywhere, but there are plenty of Viking props to go around as well.

The crowd comes alive as Ivar does a top rope moonsault, then again as Chad Gable pulls off a German suplex on one of his much larger foes. Titus loves it even more when Maxxine Dupri takes out Valhalla, receiving her varsity jacket … but then getting speared through a table.

Otis looks like he’s destined to be involved in the finish, and indeed he is, getting victimized by the Ragnarok from the Raiders and pinned as a result.

Shayna Baszler def. Nikki Cross by submission

Baszler wins in about 30 seconds, then gets a mock congratulations from Ronda Rousey from one of the luxury boxes. Ronda is not impressed with Shayna’s assertion that she slid into the back door of the industry, but Baszler says she’s a “better Ronda Rousey than you.”

Shayna challenges her former friend to come to the ring to settle things between them right now, but Ronda says she will see her in the Motor City instead.

Ricochet says he showed Logan Paul he could bring it in a real fight last week, and challenges him to show up next week on Raw so he can hurt Paul where it really hurts him most: his ego.

The Miz kicks off Miz TV by bragging about how he’s “back” after beating Tommaso Ciampa last week and playing in the American Century Championship golf tournament. His guest, however, hasn’t been winning as much as of late: Becky Lynch.

When the host asks The Man if she’s lost a step, Becky takes out some anger on the show’s furniture and threatens Miz to bring Trish Stratus out “before you lose your tiny testicles.” Stratus obliges, along with Zoey Stark, but Trish sees no reason to fight Becky since she’s already beaten her.

“I’m done with you. Zoey and I are moving on, baby.” But Lynch says she has spent more time in WWE and accomplished more, so if Stratus is as good as she claims, she should fight her one on one.

Trish agrees, but under a few conditions. Lynch has to go through Stark first, and if she loses, Becky will have to get on her knees and thank Trish. Lynch even agrees to get “thank you Trish” tattooed across her chest if she loses, before she proceeds to dismantle both heels in a brief scuffle.

Bronson Reed def. Shinsuke Nakamura by DQ

The announcers remind us that Reed has been messing with Nak for a while and question why Shinsuke would want to mess with him. Reed also really deserves a better nickname than “Big,” but hey.

A “big” Death Valley Driver looks like it could be lights out for Shinsuke, but he survives it and hits a diving knee shot for a near fall. Just when Reed looks like he might move in for the kill, Ciampa invades the ring to attack Reed … who does at least get the DQ win.

Nakamura expresses his displeasure with Ciampa afterward in very violent and direct fashion.

Shinsuke tells Saxton he’s tired of everyone getting involved in his business, then repeats it, louder for the people in the back.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn def. Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio by pinfall to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

Chaos ensues almost immediately, as Rollins flies down and takes out Balor, who accompanied the challengers to the ring. Mysterio ends up getting smashed into the announce table right in front of Ripley, who distracts the champs long enough for her teammates to seize control of the action.

KO changes that almost singlehandedly, running off a hyperactive series of moves after getting the hot tag. Only Priest getting his knees up on a frog splash stops that, and Mysterio covers to force Zayn into a save.

Mysterio and Owens go back and forth until a Popup Powerbomb has Dom in trouble, but it’s Priest to make the save this time. Both teams make tags, and a big tornado DDT gets a near fall for Zayn.

Priest fires back with a top rope hurricanrana that nearly wins it. Dom hits Sami with a dropkick to the back but can’t get the 619. Both of the champs take flight to the floor, and they’re feeling it now.

But Ripley throws Owens into the steel steps, giving Mysterio a chance to roll up Zayn for another close two. Rhea is in the face of the ref but gets pulled off the apron and assaulted by Morgan.

With the coast clear, KO stuns Priest and Zayn nails Dom with the Helluva Kick to get the pin.

WWE Raw results: John Cena roasts Austin Theory, Jey Uso makes his choice

Get WWE Raw results updated live for the March 6 show from Boston, with John Cena and Logan Paul both scheduled to appear.

Guessing you may have heard about the big hook for tonight’s episode of Raw from the TD Garden in Boston: John Cena is back, baby.

Boston is his hometown after all. And there’s that not so secret rumored match between him and Austin Theory WWE is likely to be setting up for WrestleMania, so … time to get on that.

But that’s not the only big name confrontation we can expect to see tonight. Seth Rollins and Logan Paul have been circling each other for some time, a situation that was definitely not helped by Paul playing an active role in ensuring Rollins took an ‘L’ at Elimination Chamber.

The Visionary got fed up and finally called for Paul to meet him face to face in Boston, and the social media personality and annoyingly good part-time wrestler took him up on it. Can we expect shots to be exchanged on Raw? We think so.

Ah, but those showdowns aren’t expected to lead to matches tonight since they’re being saved for L.A. Happily, there’s plenty of in-ring action on the slate for the TD Garden as well.

Oh, and Vince McMahon is reportedly backstage. Make of that what you will.

WWE Raw results: Becky Lynch, Lita get Stratus-fying title win

Did you have Lita, WWE champion, on your 2023 pro wrestling bingo card? Because if so, you should probably hang onto it as there are likely other incredible things on other squares.

Not that it’s happened yet, mind you. Damage CTRL has pretty comfortably been in control (ahem) of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in this, their second reign. The only real hurdle they’ve hit is that Dakota Kai has been injured.

She’s apparently good to go for tonight, but it really does appear that maybe WWE will have Becky Lynch and Lita win the belts and take them into WrestleMania a little more than a month from now. It’s definitely not outside the realm of possibility, and that’s pretty wild.

There’s plenty of other intrigue on tap for this week’s Raw from Grand Rapids. Will Brock Lesnar appear (probably) and accept the challenge from Omos (no idea) for a match at WrestleMania? What kind of big news is The Miz going to share on Miz TV?

Is Carmella truly ready for the current version of Asuka? Will Jay White make his first WWE appearance on this Raw?

OK, we made that last one up, but you get the idea. This is a potentially very busy episode of Raw that should be exciting to watch live or follow along with on the internet.

Who’s getting one over on the Bloodline?

Is the Bloodline really going through something, or is it just the normal stuff that happens when family members fight? Jimmy Uso would prefer you think it’s the latter, and he suggests that no one who comes for the Bloodline succeeds.

The Street Profits turn that idea on its head, mocking the fact that Jey Uso isn’t there. Montez Ford says that if he had to be the bridge that kept the Bloodline together, he’d get tired too.

Jimmy fires some barbs back, but that’s enough talking, because we’re getting a tag team match here.

Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa circle the wagons against the Street Profits, but KO says no to more

Sikoa learns the hard way early on that going Solo against a well-oiled team like the Profits ain’t easy. We’ll also stop with puns on Sikoa’s name. Maybe.

Angelo Dawkins gets stuck taking the tag team match beating through a commercial break, with Sikoa stalking him and smashing him with a hip attack. He superkicks Montez Ford off the apron, but turns and takes a flying back elbow from Dawkins.

Ford rolls through Jimmy Uso after receiving the obligatory hot tag, earning a two count with a standing moonsault. He also flies from the top rope even after Uso gets up, but Jimmy manages to kick out right before three.

A spinebuster for Ford sets up Dawkins for success, but their attempt at a tandem finisher is ruined by Sikoa, who hits Angelo with a Samoan Spike to win it.

Will the Bloodline do more damage after the bell? They want to, but Kevin Owens arrives to prevent it.

That Brock Lesnar-Omos match for WrestleMania is on

Brock Lesnar beats the host to the MVP Lounge, making himself comfortable while he waits for MVP. This seems to confuse MVP, but Lesnar assures him he’s got no beef and is here on business.

He wants MVP to sell him and the people on his proposed fight, and promises not to send MVP to Suplex City. “Hype the fight,” he says.

MVP compliments Lesnar on his power and athleticism but doesn’t see Brock putting his hands on a giant to the same effect. Lesnar says that was good enough to give him goosebumps.

Lesnar accepts the challenge but says they should shake on it and drink on it. Brock declines champagne, however, saying he brought the “good stuff” in a flask. After taking a big swig, MVP tries to decline the flask, which seems to be a tactical error. He tries to drink the “white lightning” but ends up spitting it out … all over Brock. The crowd lets him have it with an obscene chant.

As you might expect, that earns MVP an F-5. Sorry about that, MVP.

Cody Rhodes stays busy with a victory over Chad Gable, and says he’ll see us (and Roman Reigns) Friday

The announcers frame this as a big opportunity for Gable, who would benefit from a big win over a man headed to the WrestleMania main event. That … makes sense.

An inverted superplex, however, takes some of the wind out of his sails prior to a commercial break. He’s got it back afterward, with Rhodes down and Gable looking to fly. Cody rolls away, however, and Chad hits nothing but mat.

Selling damage to his left knee, Rhodes still hits a powerslam and a Diaster Kick. Cody covers but his foe kicks out at two.

The Figure Four is locked in, and Gable looks appropriately agonized. He struggles and manages to reach the ropes, though. Rhodes goes for a second Disaster Kick, but Gable counters with a German suplex for a two count.

Gable presses his advantage all the way to a moonsault, forcing Rhodes into a last second kickout. Now Cody is fired up, matching Chad’s intensity as they trade chops. Gable takes a hip toss to the outside, and Rhodes takes flight with a suicide dive that knocks the Alpha Academy leader back into the announce table.

Otis is looking into the crowd, and Rhodes does the Bugs Bunny-esque thing talking to him while the Tree Trunk is totally unaware that it’s him. Climbing back in the ring, Cody hits the Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes to seal the win.

After the bell, Rhodes notes that it’s 33 days to WrestleMania and he’s yet to be in the ring with Roman Reigns … but that changes this Friday on SmackDown.

Carmella turns out to be not quite ready for Asuka after all, but Bianca Belair is

Corey Graves wants to talk about his wife on the way to the ring and sort of gets a chance. He’s still upset about Carmella being overlooked, and not really thrilled about her having to earn her way to WrestleMania by beating Asuka.

She’s doing extremely well in the opening moments, smoking Asuka from corner to corner with strikes and even getting a near fall, though she is soon kicking out at two herself. Carmella manages to trick Asuka into sending herself to the floor, and has something to say about it as commercials arrive.

Though Asuka rallied some during the break, she misses off the top rope when the broadcast returns, and Carmella nails her with a kick to the face for a near fall. Asuka rocks her foe with a back elbow, and the two women set off a chain of counters and pinning predicaments.

Carmella eventually ends up in an armbar, though, and she ends up tapping out. Asuka calls out Bianca Belair after the bell and the Raw Women’s Champion obliges. Carmella bashes Asuka into Belair, laughing on her way out.

Candice LeRae gets a win against Piper Niven with an odd assist from Nikki Cross

Nikki Cross follows LeRae down the ramp at a distance and is ringside for what initially looks like a mauling by Niven. It’s LeRae who earns the first two count, but Niven quickly responds with one of her own.

Niven locks on a choke from behind, then smashes LeRae into the turnbuckles. Candice fights back and climbs to the middle rope only to be sent hard to the floor.

When Cross gets spotted, she gets thrown into the barricade, but it was an effective distraction, because when Niven returns to the ring, Candice rolls her up and holds on for a three count.

Miz is hosting WrestleMania, and Seth Rollins gets Logan Paul to agree to a man-to-man faceoff

Before Miz brings out his guest for tonight, he wants to talk about his beautiful wife Maryse. One of the things she gave him for their anniversary he calls life-changing news: He’s the host of WrestleMania.

Oh and Miz is also his own guest tonight. He scoffs at the idea that anyone else would be as good a host as him, particularly the likes of Logan Paul. Miz hypes up the announced matches so far, but he’s interrupted by the ever sing-able Seth Rollins entrance theme.

Miz is livid, of course, accusing Rollins of raining on his parade for three straight weeks. Seth tricks him into calling himself an a–hole, which doesn’t calm him down any.

But Rollins simply wants Miz to call Paul for him. The A-Lister refuses, saying Logan is Seth’s problem, not his. He presses on, calling Rollins a goofball in a stupid jacket, which earns him a thrust kick for his troubles.

Rollins looks down and spies Miz’s phone, even opening the unconscious Miz’s eyelid to unlock it.

“Miz, stop calling!” is the greeting, but Paul gets an unpleasant surprise when Seth answers and also taunts Jake Paul about his boxing loss. Rollins wants Paul to face him in person next week, with Logan saying he doesn’t think Seth will run his mouth when he takes him up on it.

“Bye bye, bitch,” Seth says before dropping the phone, then returning to hit Miz with the Stomp.

Bobby Lashley blazes through Elias, warns Bray Wyatt and gets a new workout video back

Rick Boogs is literally taking notes while watching backstage. He might not have many of them, as Elias very quickly eats a spear and taps out to the Hurt Lock.

Lashley grabs a mic afterward and expresses his displeasure at getting Bray Wyatt’s kid games instead of another chance to dominate. He tells Wyatt to keep his name out of his mouth, but he gets a new Wyatt workout video instead … that ends with “you should run.”

Johnny Gargano spoils Otis’ MMM assessment

Inspired by the Maximum Male Models crew watching from ringside, Otis opens up with some punishment on Gargano. Johnny steps aside and sends Otis into the post, then tries to floor him with left hands.

That goes for naught, but a series of kicks does the job. The Models try to lend a hand but end up getting choked out by Dexter Lumis from the crowd.

Meanwhile, Otis is jealous that Gargano is talking to Maxxine Dupri, and he walks right into his doom in the form of a high-flying DDT.

Becky Lynch and Lita check off their bucket list item with some assistance from Trish Stratus

All four women get to work in the opening minutes, with Lita taking down Dakota Kai and the fans urging her on. Kai escapes a Twist of Fate attempt and tags out to IYO SKY, who quickly falls victim to some tandem offense and a near fall.

The challengers keep making quick tags and have the champs separated in opposite corners. Then they end up in the same corner, where Lita hits them with her version of Poetry in Motion.

Lita looks for a moonsault but sees SKY roll out to the floor. Lynch tags in and takes out both members of the Damage CTRL, and the challengers are indeed rolling as Kevin Patrick claims as a commercial break descends.

The Man hits Diamond Dust on Kai after the break, covering for two and then switching to a submission hold until SKY break it up. The champs finally get some momentum by fighting out on the floor, including a springboard moonsault from IYO.

SKY hits Lynch with a nasty dropkick that sets off a string of moves from both champs before Kai covers for two. Lita is begging to be tagged in, but Lynch can’t get to her.

Bayley lends an active hand, first trying to slide a title belt into the ring and then yanking Lita off the apron. Lynch nearly gets pinned but kicks off at the last moment.

If only someone would come neutralize Bayley … and someone does, in the form of Trish Stratus. Lita finally tags in, firing off moves against SKY, who does manage to kick out from the ensuing cover.

SKY goes for her signature moonsault but misses as Lita rolls away, then gets planted by the Twist of Fate. Stratus hits Bayley with a Chick Kick, and Lita connects on a moonsault to give us new women’s tag team champions.

WWE Raw results: Edge learns The Judgment Day isn’t done with him yet

The old adage about try, try again will be in full effect tonight on WWE Raw in Ottawa.

As you may have heard, Sami Zayn did not write the storybook ending to his personal saga at Elimination Chamber in front of his hometown fans in Montreal this weekend. But it’s possible that a Canadian could still end up sporting some gold before WWE heads back to the U.S.

That’s because Edge has answered the open challenge of Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Both men should feel pretty good coming off big victories on Saturday night. But Theory has a way of coming out on top even when things go against him, and Edge can’t be sure he’s left The Judgment Day completely behind him. That makes it look like uphill sledding for the Rated R Superstar.

Speaking of uphill sledding, Mustafa Ali has been doing plenty of that in recent weeks. While he’s more than willing to do whatever it takes to earn more opportunities, he’s about had it with Dolph Ziggler for … well, not having the same attitude, basically. They’ll try to settle their differences in the ring in Ottawa.

And a late addition to tonight’s card should also have plenty of WrestleMania implications as Seth Rollins battles The Miz. Rollins saw his Elimination Chamber moment ruined by Logan Paul, who also has quite a history with the A-Lister. It will be interesting to see if and how that might come into play tonight.

WWE Survivor Series WarGames preview: When and where it’s going down, what to expect

Get ready for WWE Survivor Series WarGames with our full preview, including the start time, card and predictions for every match.

Let’s face it: For one of the traditional big WWE events, Survivor Series needed a refresh. Triple H and company have given it exactly that by folding in a fan favorite match from NXT — but whose roots go back much further to when it was originally invented by Dusty Rhodes during his Jim Crockett Promotions days — to create the first ever Survivor Series WarGames.

For those who have never seen the namesake match, it involves two teams doing battle within a steel cage large enough to contain two wrestling rings side by side. While one competitor from each team starts out the match, another enters every few minutes. That means the team that sends someone in first will always have an edge for a bit (two-on-one, three-on-two, etc.), which is why that advantage is valuable enough to compete for in matches leading up to the event.

The match doesn’t even officially get underway until everyone on both teams has entered, so the goal is to simply do as much damage as possible before that. To that end, all weapons are legal, and the only way to win this WWE version of WarGames is by pinfall or submission.

It’s a logical fit for Survivor Series, which has long been the domain of team vs. team matches, though traditionally they have been elimination affairs. Still, if there was any gimmick match that contained some of the event’s historical DNA, this is it.

Along with both men’s and women’s WarGames matches, there have been a handful of other matches announced, including two title bouts. While more could still be added, the WarGames matches figure to both go pretty long, so don’t expect this to end up with a dozen matches on the card when it’s all said and done.

Will it be an extra spooky night in the Big D for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on WWE Raw? It’s possible.

The Bloodline (which is a perfect faction name for Halloween, let’s be real) has been its own mini house of horrors as of late, particularly with Jey Uso and Sami Zayn seemingly unable to get past their issues with each other. Well, Jey’s issues with Sami, mainly.

Reigns can’t afford to take his eye off the ball with Logan Paul ready to pull off the upset of the century of Crown Jewel. We’ll see if the Head of the Table can get his household in order on Halloween.

Another champion with a big challenge looming at Crown Jewel is Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. As she looks ahead to a Last Standing Match with Bayley in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, she might not want to look past Nikki Cross. Belair likes to say she stays ready so she doesn’t have to get ready, but can she possibly stay prepared on all fronts all the time with a dwindling number of allies?

And while Brock Lesnar tends to be a man of few words, he’ll be on hand at the American Airlines Center as well this week. He hasn’t offered much in the way of explanation for targeting Bobby Lashley, not that he really needs to, of course. But every time the two men have been near each other, fisticuffs have erupted, and there might be one more dose of them before they head overseas.

WWE Raw preview – Monday, October 31, American Airlines Center, Dallas

Happy Halloween, everyone! As WWE prepares to head overseas for Crown Jewel (and some of its talent is already in Europe for house shows in the meantime), there’s still some business to attend to first. Fans in Dallas should prepare to acknowledge the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, as he will be on hand. While he’s tried to get the Bloodline on the same page in recent weeks, there are still some cracks in the group’s foundation? Can he get them repaired before he faces Logan Paul?

Brock Lesnar is also being advertised for this week’s show. The Beast Incarnate has a big showdown with Bobby Lashley awaiting him in Saudi Arabia, and while the two men have already traded blows, Lesnar may have a a chance to get in the final word before Saturday.

AEW Dynamite preview – Wednesday, November 2, Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena, Baltimore

Dynamite returns to Baltimore this week with not one, not two, but three title matches. Orange Cassidy finally won his first AEW singles gold by claiming the All-Atlantic Championship, but he’ll have to work hard to keep it (which isn’t really his style) in a three-way dance with two very different opponents, Luchasaurus and Rey Fenix.

Chris Jericho has vowed to take out anything to do with ROH, including past champions, so he’ll put the ROH World Championship on the line against a mystery former champ. And Jade Cargill will try to fend off a familiar challenger for her TBS Championship in the form of Marina Shafir.

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, November 4, Enterprise Center, St. Louis (recorded on October 28)

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, November 4, Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City

In a bit of role reversal, it’ll be a live episode of Rampage following a pre-taped SmackDown instead of the other way around. The most notable name on the show might not even be one of the wrestlers, as boxing legend Mike Tyson (who has worked with AEW before) is set to join the announce team.

In terms of matches, all we know for sure is that whoever emerges from the three-way dance on Dynamite with the All-Atlantic Championship can pick a dream opponent for Friday night. If that’s Cassidy, it will be a busy week for Freshly Squeezed, which might not be something he’d prefer. We’ll find out Wednesday night.

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was one of those “it’s about time” deals for wrestling fans when first established on the night before Christmas (no, really) in 2018. With two of the most popular stars in recent memory, Bayley and Sasha Banks, as the inaugural titleholders, the belts were on their way to a memorable start.

Though WWE has had some … issues keeping the women’s tag team division stocked with interesting and viable teams since then (the same could be said for the men, to be honest), the titles have remained a topic of prominent topic of conversation among wrestling fans. This was especially true in the aftermath of Banks and Naomi walking out on WWE, vacating the championship for a time.
