The Wisconsin football program extended an offer to class of 2024 quarterback C.J. Carr today.

Carr is the grandson of former Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr and the son of former Michigan quarterback Jason Carr.

The offer continues the unranked quarterback’s rapid ascension, the Badgers joining Notre Dame, Indiana and Nebraska as teams to recently extend him an offer.

Carr’s full offer sheet at this early point in his recruiting process consists of Wisconsin, the three schools listed above, Michigan, Michigan State, Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan.

Wisconsin has shown a recent push to identify the position early in the recruiting process, sticking around as the player’s stock rises nationwide. For both Graham Mertz and Deacon Hill, that approach was effective. We’ll now see whether the Badgers can pry the Michigan legacy away from Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.
