Wisconsin LB Leo Chenal named an AP All-American

Leo Chenal caps off an incredible season with a well-deserved honor

After a phenomenal season for Badgers linebacker Leo Chenal, the awards have been rolling in.

The latest honor saw Wisconsin’s defensive leader named to the 2021 AP All-America Second Team. 

Chenal finished the regular season with a 87 total tackles, 7 sacks, and a pair of forced fumbles all while missing the first two games of the season due to COVID-19.

Will Anderson, Jr.  (Alabama), Nakobe Dean (Georgia), and Devin Lloyd (Utah) earned the first-team linebacker nods. Chenal was the lone defensive player from Wisconsin on any of the three All-America teams. Badger offensive guard Josh Seltzner earned a third-team All America nod.
