Wisconsin Lands 2020 WR Devin Chandler on National Signing Day

The Badgers received their second commitment on the day in wide receiver Devin Chandler as part of the early signing period.

Wisconsin was able to land its second commitment of the day during the early signing period when Charlotte, N.C., wide receiver Devin Chandler announced he would sign with Wisconsin.

Chandler is rated as a three star prospect by 247 Sports and is rated as a two star prospect by Rivals. Chandler picked Wisconsin over his other two finalists in Maryland and Virginia.

Chandler had a busy December as he went on three different official visits to his top three schools in Wisconsin, Maryland, and Virginia before he officially made his decision.

Chandler joins a wide receiver class that already includes Waukesha North’s Chimere Dike and St. George’s (Memphis, TN) Isaac Smith. Similar to Dike and Smith, Chandler possesses good size as he’s listed at 6’1″ and 175 pounds.

Chandler is from the same high school as current Badger defensive end Gio Paez as the two attended Hough High School.

Chandler is the third player head coach Paul Chryst has signed from the state of North Carolina since 2015 and he’s the first wide receiver from North Carolina to sign with the Badgers since Kenzel Doe in 2011.

With the commitment of Chandler that gives the Badgers 19 scholarship players in the 2020 recruiting class.
