The Wisconsin Badgers’ spring football season is right around the corner.

According to a release from the athletic department, the program’s first spring practice will kick off on Tuesday, March 30.

For a team that experienced a long pause during the 2020 season due to a COVID-19 outbreak and was never able to find consistency, starting spring practice is a significant movement back to normality.

The program has a myriad of young players, NFL-ready upperclassmen, new starters at key positions and a few new faces on the coaching staff that will all benefit greatly from a full offseason—the beginning of spring practice marking a significant date in that process.

Although the depth chart won’t be decided in the spring months, some clarity will be given about where the team stands in terms of health and which names will be worth watching as the season approaches.
