Former Wisconsin defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard is headed back to the Big Ten West, but this time he will be on the sideline for a Badger rival.
Leonhard is headed to Illinois as a senior football analyst, the school announced Wednesday.
Wisconsin fans unsurprisingly reacted strongly to the news Leonhard would reunite with former Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema and former Badgers Aaron Henry and Antonio Fenelus in Champaign.
Leonhard spent the past seven seasons as part of the Badger staff.
