MSU drops regular season finale to Wisconsin

Michigan State went on the road and took home the outright Big Ten regular season championship, defeating the Badgers, 5-2, on Friday night. The two teams came back on Saturday night for one more game to conclude the regular season.

In game two on Saturday night, Wisconsin took down MSU for the first time this year, beating the Spartans, 4-1.

Karsen Dorwart was the lone goal scorer for MSU in the contest.

The Spartans have earned themselves a first round bye in the Big Ten Tournament, and won’t be back in action until Saturday, March 16th, when they play host in the Big Ten semifinals to either Michigan or Notre Dame.
