Wisconsin AD Barry Alvarez gives an update on fans in Camp Randall for the 2021 football season

Will Wisconsin have fans in 2021?

While there are no guarantees in today’s world, Wisconsin athletics is planning on welcoming fans back to Camp Randall for the 2021 football season. Thursday morning, Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez sent out an update to Badger fans surrounding the issue of welcoming people into Camp Randall for a game day experience this fall.

Via The Zone Madison Sports Director Zach Heilprin on Twitter, here is a look at the complete statement from Alvarez:

The main takeaway from Alvarez’s note?

We are planning to welcome fans back to our facilities this fall and are excited for a return of the incredible atmosphere you provide on game day.

Wisconsin will work on creating a safe game day environment, and the plan as of now is to have that environment include fans in the stands. How many will be there on a Saturday and how does one get tickets? Those answers are still being worked out by the university.
