Will the Boston Celtics fire Joe Mazzulla if the Celtics get swept by the Miami Heat?

Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla admitted to reporters postgame that he didn’t have his team ready to play in such a high-leverage moment.

The Boston Celtics fell to the Miami Heat 128-102 in Game 3 of the 2023 Eastern Conference finals. They are now down three games to none, a deficit no team in the history of the NBA has overcome. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla admitted to reporters postgame that he didn’t have his team ready to play in such a high-leverage moment.

Mazzulla said postgame that he has “to put them in better positions, I’ve got to get them ready to play and I have to have the game plan ready for us to be physical and be ready to execute. It’s important that we stick together.”

When asked about the disconnect in his locker room Joe said: “Yeah, that’s where I have to be better to figure out what this team needs to make sure that they’re connected.”

The host of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast Bobby Manning and Josue Pavon recapped Boston’s demoralizing loss in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals in the video embedded above.
