The Ohio State Buckeyes are on their way to the College Football Playoff quarterfinals and rematch with the No. 1 Oregon Ducks. Will Howard will lead the charge on January 1.
He was a menace at home against the Tennessee Volunteers in Saturday’s first-round battle.
In the first home playoff game at Ohio Stadium, Howard went off for 311 passing yards and two touchdowns. He was an impressive 24-for-29 as a passer and also was able to extend drives with his legs, ending the game with five carries for 37 yards.
It was an all-around dominant performance from the Buckeyes quarterback, one that came on the back of a discouraging loss to Michigan. Howard appears to have found his swagger once again with this postgame post.

He’s ready to move on from the quarterfinal win and will look forward to taking on the Ducks in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl.
Howard’s post referenced the “Winter,” which is a note from Game of Thrones, the popular HBO show. He also added a couple of Bible verses that say, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Let’s hope Howard’s performance in a few weeks is just as good as his social media skills. If so, the Buckeyes faithful may soon be buying their tickets for the College Football Playoff semifinals.
