The Ohio State Buckeyes are rolling. After losing to the Michigan Wolverines to close out the regular season, the Buckeyes have again proven to be one of the best teams in the country.
They throttled the No. 1 Oregon Ducks on Wednesday, closing as a field-goal favorite in the Rose Bowl. Ohio State came out and abused Oregon in the first 20 minutes of the game.
Halfway through the second quarter, they were up 31-0. Ohio State had a similar story against the Tennessee Volunteers in the first round of the College Football Playoff, a game in which it ended up winning 42-17.
Scoring 83 points in two College Football Playoff games isn’t easy, and much of that credit can be given to quarterback Will Howard, who threw for three touchdowns against the Ducks.
Howard gave a cryptic to Texas after the victory.
“There was one team that I never beat in the Big 12, and it was Texas, so I’m really looking forward to this game.”
It sounds like Will Howard has some unfinished business to attend to… đź‘€#B1GFootball x #CFBPlayoff pic.twitter.com/Jktz0lRIQh

Howard transferred to Ohio State from Kansas State, where he often was tasked with facing the Longhorns. Let’s just say he’s prepared to come out on top this time around.
