Why plus money on Atlas against the struggling FC Juarez offense could be a steal

Atlas has allowed the fewest goals in the Liga MX this season.

Atlas busted out of a three-match scoring drought in a big way last week against Queretaro, scoring three goals in their first win since Feb. 6.

They take that momentum into Friday’s match against a team even more desperate for a win. FC Juarez hasn’t won a match since a 2-0-1 start to the season and sits at just 12th in the Liga MX standings. They’ll be slight underdogs at home against fourth-place Atlas with +280 odds to win on Tipico Sportsbook.

Tremendous value still exists on the other side, however, with +120 odds on an Atlas win. Considering how the Atlas side defends the net, that’s where the good money is.

FC Juarez vs. Atlas FC Odds

Moneyline: FC Juarez (+280), Atlas FC (+120), Tie (+185)

Both Teams To Score: Yes (+130), No (-190)

[tipico]

The three goals Atlas allowed during its recent three-game winless streak is as many as they allowed in the previous five games — and two of those goals came in one match. The six goals they’ve allowed in total this season are tied for the fewest in the league. Meanwhile, FC Juarez has the fewest goals scored in the league with seven.

Against like opponents, Atlas has a +2 differential over FC Juarez, twice scoring — and winning — against opponents Juarez was unable to.

Odds on a tie are +185, but a 1-0 (+550) or 2-1 (+1200) outcome is more likely in favor of Atlas.
