Story update: The Broncos will face the Bills in the first round of the NFL playoffs on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 11:00 a.m. MT on CBS. See our original post below.
After defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 38-0 in their regular season finale on Sunday, the Denver Broncos have clinched the AFC’s seventh and final seed in the NFL playoffs.
Because the No. 1 seed in the conference has a first-round bye, the Broncos are set to face the No. 2 seed in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The AFC’s second-best team this season was the Buffalo Bills.
That means Denver is set to travel to Buffalo to face the Bills at Highmark Stadium as part of the NFL’s Wild Card weekend slate of games. The date, time and TV channel for the Broncos-Bills game will likely be announced after Sunday Night Football in Week 18.

Denver returned to the postseason after securing its first winning season (10-7) since the 2016 season. This marks the first time the Broncos have returned to the playoffs since the team won Super Bowl 50 after the 2015 season.
It would take a major upset to beat the Bills in Buffalo.
