Who should have a higher NBA 2K rating: Jayson Tatum or Jimmy Butler?

The Celtics star did help his team dispatch the Heat veteran and his squad — but it was a close contest, and they are not their teams.

“If we are being honest, he’s not the same guy,” claimed Heavy analyst Adam Taylor regarding Miami Heat veteran wing Jimmy Butler and All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum in a recent video short debating which of two he believes merits a higher rating in the latest update of the popular basketball simulation game NBA 2K23.

Both the Heat star and Tatum have an overall rating of 93 in the game’s most recent update, which sparked some debate as to whether the St. Louis native was being undervalued by the video game’s creators based off of his recent play in the 2022 NBA Playoffs.

Is the host of the “Celtics Collective” podcast right about the disparity between what the two stars can do on a basketball court and how NBA 2K has them rated?
