The recruiting calendar has changed and been accelerated, now making June arguably the busiest month of the year for recruiting in college football. It will be a very busy month for Rutgers football, as they are set to host a number of top players on campus for official visits.
There is some momentum for Rutgers football, especially after receiving another big in-state commitment this past week.
The 2023 recruiting class is a solid one for Rutgers football and off to a good start in New Jersey. Three of the five verbals for the recruiting class are in-state, and all three are top 15 in New Jersey.
Last week, Hun tight end Logan Blake committed to Rutgers. Blake is the No. 13 player in New Jersey this recruiting cycle and fits a pressing need at the tight end position.
Also part of this class from New Jersey is four-star defensive lineman [autotag]JaSire Peterson[/autotag] and offensive lineman [autotag]John Stone[/autotag], a top 10 player in the state.
Three-star linebacker from Pennsylvania, [autotag]Davoun Fuse,[/autotag] committed earlier in May (and just received an offer from Pittsburgh). [autotag]Deondre Johnson[/autotag], the second-best player in New York, also committed in May.
