Where top Texas targets land in On3’s updated 2023 recruiting rankings

Rueben Owens, Javien Toviano and Anthony Hill dropped significantly in this update, while S’Maje Burrell jumped over 170 spots.

Texas is hoping to gain some momentum on the recruiting trail in the coming months.

While the Longhorns have hosted a large number of prospects over the last three weekends, Texas’ 2023 recruiting class only has three members at this time.

Each commit is on the defensive side of the ball. Four-star safety Jamel Johnson, four-star defensive lineman Dylan Spencer and three-star linebacker S’Maje Burrell make up Texas’ class.

However, the Longhorns are trending in the right direction for some of the most coveted 2023 recruits in the country. Texas is in good standing with Arch Manning, Rueben Owens, Johntay Cook and Ryan Niblett among others.

On3 recently released their updated On300 recruiting rankings for the 2023 class and several Texas targets were among the highest rated. Some significantly dropped, while others skyrocketed up the list.

Here’s where several of Texas’ targets landed in On3’s recruiting update.
