Texas added the 17th member to its 2024 recruiting class this week.
Four-star edge Zina Umeozulu announced his commitment to Texas on Wednesday. He’s the younger brother of Longhorns offensive lineman Neto Umeozulu and is rated the No. 17 edge in the country, according to 247Sports.
Texas’ 2024 class is currently headlined by five-star edge Colin Simmons and four-star running back Jerrick Gibson. However, the Longhorns are considered the favorite for several other five-star recruits including Brandon Baker, Ryan Wingo, and Kobe Black.
In regards to 2024 recruiting class rankings at this time, SEC programs flood the top of the list and only two Big 12 programs are among the top 20 classes.
