Where each Big 12 quarterback situation ranks according to ESPN’s QB tiers

Quinn Ewers and Blake Shapen fall under Tier 5.

There are several new faces at the quarterback position in the Big 12 this season.

Quinn Ewers, Dillon Gabriel, JT Daniels and Adrian Martinez headline the group of newcomers, while programs like Baylor and Iowa State will be starting younger signal-callers that were already on their roster.

David Hale of ESPN recently dissected all 131 quarterback situations across the college football landscape and separated the players by tiers. The tiers range from Heisman or bust contenders to whether or not a quarterback could emerge as a diamond in the rough.

Oklahoma’s Gabriel earned the highest tier in terms of quarterbacks in the Big 12 conference, followed by Texas’ Ewers and Baylor’s Blake Shapen.

Here’s what tier each Big 12 quarterback landed in on Hale’s rankings.
