Where 2023 Texas targets land in 247Sports’ updated recruiting rankings

Texas targets are all over the updated Top247 rankings.

After concluding the 2022 cycle with the No. 5 class in the country, Steve Sarkisian and his staff are hoping to keep the momentum rolling into 2023.

There are several 2023 targets that Texas has been pursuing for quite some time now. Five-star quarterback Arch Manning and five-star running back Rueben Owens are two of the many that come to mind.

The 2023 class is loaded with talent at defensive line, wide receiver, defensive back and edge rushers. As of March 3, the Longhorns only have one commit in the class in four-star safety Jamel Johnson.

On Wednesday, 247Sports updated their recruiting rankings for the 2023 cycle. Texas has targeted 45 of the recruits within the Top247 and 28 of those are ranked within the Top 100. Four of them landed within the Top 18, with Manning securing the No. 1 spot.

Take a look at where each Texas target landed in the updated Top247 for 2023.
