What we learned in Cardinals’ 31-24 loss to the Rams

There was a lot of good and plenty of bad, but the Cardinals played much better than in previous games against the Rams.

Jones played well but he was shut out in terms of sacks. He does not break the all-time sack record. He doesn’t get to 20 and he doesn’t even win the 2019 sack title. He had zero sacks against the Rams, finishing with 19, half a sack behind Shaq Barrett of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had three sacks on Sunday to finish with 19.5.

Jones did play very well. Despite being double-teamed on almost every play, he had two pass breakups, two tackles, a tackle for loss and a QB hit.
