What we learned from the Patriots’ brutal loss to the Bills

The Bills have swept the season series for the first time this century.

The hits keep coming for Bill Belichick’s team, as the Buffalo Bills defeated the New England Patriots 38-9 on Monday night.

The strange year that has been 2020 has brought about some strange times in the AFC East. Buffalo won the division for the first time since 1995, and this defeat marked the first time that the Bills have swept the season series with the Patriots since 1999.

New England had nothing to play for except pride and some players fighting for spots on next year’s roster. With that motivation, the offense was still unable to get anything going, and the defense couldn’t keep Buffalo out of the end zone.

Cam Newton was benched, and his tenure in Foxboro seems to be coming to an end soon. Patriots fans seem to be ready for that change to be made.
