What Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said about Ohio State after the CFP Rose Bowl loss

Have to love what Dan Lanning had to say about Ohio State postgame. #GoBucks

The Ohio State football team is playing its best ball at the end of the season, and that’s great for a run through the College Football Playoff. That continued on New Year’s Day in the Rose Bowl with an impressive 41-21 win over No. 1 Oregon.

Count Oregon head coach Dan Lanning in the population of folks now thinking the Buckeyes are playing more than good enough to go win the national championship. He said as much in the Rose Bowl postgame press conference as he met with the media after the game. He was complimentary of his team but spent plenty of time heaping praise on Ohio State head coach Ryan Day and the team’s preparation and talent.

If you missed any of Lanning’s comments, you can catch them all thanks to the WBNS 10TV YouTube channel. In the presser, you can watch Lanning express praise and gratitude for the year his team had, how well Ohio State executed, the play of receiver Jeremiah Smith, and more.

With the win, Ohio State now advances to the Cotton Bowl to face Texas on Friday, January 11. We’ll have plenty on that game and even more reaction to this one so come back and revel in what this Buckeye team is doing.
