ANN ARBOR, Mich. — It wasn’t pretty, but Michigan basketball showed a lot of resolve on Wednesday night. The Wolverines won a game that it would have likely lost earlier in the season, as they found themselves in a battle with Northwestern.

At one point, Michigan was up 11, but the Wildcats battled back, taking a 7-point lead with five minutes remaining. However, the maize and blue retook the lead before Northwestern made it a game again, with a three-point margin with a minute remaining.

Ultimately, the Wolverines prevailed, winning their third game in a row, 72-70, at Crisler Center on Wednesday night.

Here is everything that head coach Juwan Howard said after the game.
