What Jets’ Jeff Ulbrich said about Haason Reddick ending his holdout

As perhaps one more rabbit up the sleeve for the New York Jets, pass rusher Haason Reddick is reporting for duty.

The Jets (2-5) acquired Reddick via trade in the spring. Since then he has had a rollercoaster holdout but this past week has decided to end that. As of Monday, he was in the building and prepping for the Jets’ upcoming game against the New England Patriots (1-6) in Week 8.

We’ve yet to hear from Reddick himself just yet. But it sounds like he’s going to be welcomed.

“Haason is going to fit right into this locker room,” defensive lineman Solomon Thomas told reporters. “He’s going to be a guy who plays hard, gets the quarterback down and a guy who creates turnovers.”

As far as the man at the top, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said he already had a meeting with the 30-year-old. Ulbrich noted Reddick is “fired up.”

“Ready to get rolling with us,” Ulbrich said. “He’s going to be fully integrated into all we do.”
