What is real and what is noise about the Boston Celtics’ start to 2022-23?

As is the case with smaller sample sizes, at least some of what we are seeing may be noise cleverly disguised as facts.

Now that the NBA has hit the one-quarter mark for the 2022-23 season, some trends for teams and players have some weight to them. And when it comes to the Boston Celtics, the club has the top record driven by an historic offense and several players (and a coach and executive) making a case for full-season hardware.

But as is the case with smaller sample sizes, at least some of what we are seeing may be noise cleverly disguised. What is real about the Celtics so far this season, and what can we say is almost certainly going to turn out to be noise?

The hosts of the “First to the Floor” podcast sat down to talk it over on a recent podcast, evaluating Boston’s 2022-23 campaign with an eye to how the team will look come April.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
