On Tuesday night, the McDonald’s All-American game tips off, giving some of the best men’s and women’s basketball players in the nation a chance to showcase their talents and give a preview for what is to come when they hit the floor at the next level.
For fans of the Oregon Ducks, 2022 signee Kel’el Ware was named to the team, as were both Change Gray and Grace VanSlooten. Ware was asked on Tuesday to preview his time at Oregon and quickly discuss what he and the other members of the class — Dior Johnson, Tyrone Williams, and Brennan Rigsby — are going to bring to the table for the Ducks next season.

“We’re going to to great things,” Ware said. “Just with me, Dior, you’ve got T-Will coming in, and then you’ve got Brennan — I feel like with him being able to shoot, and then T-Will being able to slash, and he’s got a shot on him too as well. Dior being a floor general, and then me at the big, it’s just, I feel like we’re going to be able to do great things.”
Johnson is a fellow 5-star recruit who is ranked as the No. 4 point guard in the nation, and No. 23 player overall. Williams is ranked as the No. 2 JUCO transfer this season, and Rigsby is coming off of a JUCO national championship where he led his team in scoring with 24 points in the final game.
The current roster at Oregon is in a bit of a flux with some unknowns about whether players are staying or leaving, but it’s clear through all of it that the incoming talent is going to be special in Eugene.
