Week 7 Roundtable: Predicting the Oregon vs Washington showdown

Five burning questions get answered by the College Wire staff.

Last week’s premier matchup between the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns was as advertised. It went down to the final possession to determine a winner and we could see it again this week.

Much like Texas-OU, the game in Seattle features two teams bound for a new conference in 2024, the Big Ten. The Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies had a battle last season that was determined by just three points. Not to mention it features a pair of Heisman Trophy candidates, Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr.

The other huge matchup of the week will have undefeated USC heading to Indiana to face off with Notre Dame. These two illustrious programs have a lot of history and we could be in for an entertaining matchup. USC won last year but this year’s defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed. Not to mention the Irish upgraded the quarterback spot with the all-time leading passer in Wake Forest history, Sam Hartman.

Buckle up, we could be in for a ride this week. As we do each week, the College Wire staff answers five burning questions revolving around this weekend’s action.
