We need a Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce cover of Teenage Dirtbag as soon as possible

The couple sang this song by a fire pit and we need to hear it.

Fans recently learned that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce apparently have a go-to song they sing at parties and it’s an excellent choice.

According to a friend of the Chiefs star, the famous couple recently sang the cult classic song “Teenage Dirtbag” by Wheatus. This was one of the many endearing facts we learned about Swift and Kelce from a recent interview in the Wall Street Journal.

Here are more details about the interaction:

One of Kelce’s friends describes a sweet, magical moment, a late-night gathering around Kelce’s firepit. Kelce and Swift looked like two “peas in a pod,” the friend says, and at one point they even burst into a memorable duet of—“Teenage Dirtbag”?

Kelce wouldn’t confirm the song choice but he added that “there was some wine involved” that evening.

Alas, even without the confirmation, it would be amazing to hear a recorded version of this duet from Kelce and Swift.

While that sounds ambitious, we already know that the Kansas City tight end is at least somewhat willing to hit the recording studio.

He and his brother, Jason, recently released a cover of The Pogues’ “Fairytale of New York” for charity. The track already reached No. 2 on Billboard‘s Rock Digital Song Sales chart and No. 5 on Billboard‘s overall Digital Song Sales chart.

If that is what the Kelce brothers are able to accomplish on a relatively obscure Christmas song, imagine the hype if we got to hear the football player and pop star sing their version of the second-best-selling single of 2000.

Oh, yeah, dirtbag! We honestly don’t even know what we’re missing.
