On Thursday night the No. 1 recruit in the 2022 class and Texas Longhorns commit Quinn Ewers was in action. Ewers and the Southlake Carroll Dragons were in action against Trophy Club Byron Nelson. All eyes have been on Ewers for good reason. 247Sports rankings have him as the top quarterback and recruit in the country. Composite rankings have him as No. 2, but regardless he is a talent that everyone wants to see play.
Ewers is going to be an absolute joy to watch for the fan base and fans of quarterback play in general. On the night he accounted for 242 yards of total offense and four touchdowns. With Sam Ehlinger on the way out of Austin after this season in all likeliness, the future with Hudson Card, Ja’Quinden Jackson and Quinn Ewers is going to be fun to watch over the next few years.
