WATCH: Should the Boston Celtics buy or sell at the 2022 NBA trade deadline?

Tough decisions for Boston’s front office loom.

The Boston Celtics have some tough decisions to make about the future of their roster’s construction over the next three days with the 2022 moratorium on exchanging players between franchises for the 2021-22 NBA season set to arrive on Feb. 10 at 3 pm ET.

Should the Celtics look at their recent record and assume that the top-10 play on both ends of the court is enough to warrant substantial investment in the team in terms of personnel, or should Boston weigh the uneven play of the team for the majority of the season to date as indicative that the club ought to be selling off assets to regroup in the offseason?

While the franchise could certainly be in a worse position, one definite way to get to one would be to misread what the team is needing to move them along their ultimate path towards hanging another banner.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast dove into this question in their most recent episode — watch the clip embedded above to see how they feel about the team’s plans at the deadline.
