Ohio State head coach Ryan Day took some time to meet with the media again after Monday’s fall practice. And of course, the biggest question of the day after the head man said he could have some clarity on the quarterback after this weekend was who is the leader right now.
Day stopped short of naming a starter but did confirm that redshirt freshman C.J. Stroud — who was the de facto backup to Fields last season — has begun to “separate himself.” He did go on to say that the entire quarterback room has improved greatly, but with more growth to go. In other words, the competition is still technically open.
But that wasn’t all that Day touched on. He talked about recruiting, name, image, and likeness, other position battles, and much more.
If you didn’t catch everything the man wearing the headset said, we’ve got it here for you thanks to video shared to the Ohio State Buckeyes Facebook page.
We are now entering the third week of fall preseason camp which means we are almost halfway through all the preparations to begin the season on September 2. We’ll continue to have coverage throughout and of course on into the season.
