Rutgers isn’t pulling any punches against Ohio State. So far, we’ve seen a passing touchdown to an offensive lineman, a couple of two-point tries, a modified statue of liberty play, a couple of onside kick attempts, and now this.
On a punt return after one of the few stops the Scarlet Knights made on the Ohio State offense, the return team threw a pass across the field of play much like switching the field in a soccer match, got it into speedy playmaker Bo Melton who weaved his way through the OSU punt return defense for a 58-yard touchdown.
No, this isn’t Boise State East, but … missile
You have to give credit to the Rutgers coaching staff for emptying the barrel against an Ohio State team it has no business being on the field with. Greg Schiano is trying to set the tone for his team, and he’s doing a very good job of it.
Watch the craziness unfold below.
Hey! This is supposed to be American football. Rutgers takes a page out of the game of soccer by switching the field on a long lateral that results in a 58-yard punt return TD. #GoBucks #OSUvsRUTG https://t.co/tDut8SvM1E
