Ohio State is beginning to look more like, well — Ohio State. The first three games of the season had fans, media, and coaches wringing their hands trying to figure out why the defense was doing its best impression of a wet paper towel, and why the offense couldn’t finish off drives consistently.
But that’s all starting to round into form over the last couple of weeks. And while beating up on Akron and Rutgers won’t exactly make national headlines, the improvement is obvious, especially when you compare the issues Michigan had in going toe-to-toe with the Scarlet Knights.
Ryan Day likes where his team is trending, but also knows each week is a challenge in a very tough Big Ten. Next up is a 4-1 Maryland team that got run out of the stadium against No. 3 Iowa last weekend. Aside from that though, the Terps have looked competitive.
Day met with the media to preview the matchup and provide his thoughts on the OSU team he’s seeing now and we have the video for you thanks to the fine folks at Ohio State and OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
In it, Day discusses the health of running back TreVeyon Henderson, the talent of wide receiver Chris Olave, the depth of the Big Ten, and much more.
Ohio State will take on Maryland at Noon on Saturday in the ‘Shoe. Fox has the call.
