Spring football is well on its way at Ohio State. We’ve seen some video and pictures trickle out in this still somewhat locked down COVID-19 pandemic media environment. We just got another piece of video dropped on Ohio State football’s Twitter account, and it’s one of our favorite adrenaline-boosting formats — the circle drill.
Watch the below video as the Ohio State players compete in our first look at the circle drill. In it, players take turns in the middle of the circle and battle it out in high-energy blocking and hitting while the rest of the team surrounds them cheering things on.
It’s all set to music and the words of Ryan Day.
“We got fifteen practices, that’s it,” Day impores. “You know, the whole thing goes fast man. The next time we get together, it’s preseason camp and we’re getting ready to play Minnesota on a Thursday night. The point is, there has to be great urgency.”
Have a watch.
