WATCH: Leonard Fournette breaks Super Bowl wide open with touchdown run

Leonard Fournette’s third-quarter touchdown run gave the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a commanding lead on the Kansas City Chiefs.

It’s been an eventful Super Bowl for former LSU football players. Former LSU Tigers running back Leonard Fournette made his impact on the game in the third quarter with a touchdown run that gave the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a commanding lead.

Fournette’s 27-yard touchdown run midway through the third quarter extended Tampa Bay’s lead to 28-9.

Fournette has had a better showing in the Super Bowl so far compared to another former Tiger, Tyrann Mathieu. Mathieu got a little frustrated and let it show late in the first half in a heated exchange with Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.

Fournette is one of six former LSU players playing in the Super Bowl.

LSU’s six players appearing in Super Bowl LV is the most of any college program
