The NFL draft is the occasion every talented football player waits for. With hundreds waiting for their name to be called, it simply isn’t possible for everyone to be around the event. That means waiting around for a phone call at home with their families. Notre Dame running back Kyren Williams got that call from the Los Angeles Rams after they picked him in the fifth round, and he didn’t even try to hold his emotions back as he spoke:

It might be surprising for some Irish fans that Williams was picked so late and even more surprising that only he and Kyle Hamilton had been selected up to that point. However, Williams isn’t thinking about any of that and only about what this means for himself and his family. The years of hard work finally have paid off, and he seems bent on proving himself the moment he sets foot in southern California. All the best to him.
