WATCH: Kyle Young talks coming back to Ohio State, new guys on roster

Ohio State forward Kyle Young surprised us by returning to the Buckeyes next year. Watch him discuss that and other things with Andy Katz.

Count me in the camp that was surprised when we got the news that Ohio State forward Kyle Young was going to be spending one more season in scarlet and gray. I mean, not that it doesn’t make sense and all with the way things ended with the injury and the Buckeyes bowing out to No. 15 seed Oral Roberts in round one of the NCAA Tournament, but it just felt like he was moving on.

But also count me in the camp that is pretty excited about him being on the roster next season. He fills that need of leadership, experience, and an evolving offensive game that will be key in the Big Ten next year.

Young sat down with the Big Ten Network’s Andy Katz to discuss some of what next year holds for him, why he made his decision, and what it’ll be like to be on the same team with guys that transferred in from other Big Ten rival schools.

If you missed any of the interview, you can catch it in the below tweet shared by the Big Ten Network on Twitter.

We can’t stress what an underrated return this is for Ohio State. To get such a quality basketball player and person back for another run might just be what puts OSU over the top against its other competitors.
