Watch: Klay Thompson hits clutch 3-pointer to help Warriors close vs. Nets

With just seconds remaining, Klay Thompson hit a clutch 3-pointer to help the Warriors close a victory over the Nets.

After the Golden State Warriors vaulted to an early lead, the Brooklyn Nets surged back into Saturday’s primetime contest behind Kyrie Irving. With Irving pushing the Nets into a battle, the Warriors needed a clutch bucket in the fourth quarter to seal a victory.

On Saturday, a vintage Klay Thompson jumper from beyond the arc helped close out the Nets.

With the Warriors clinging to a one-point advantage with just seconds remaining, Steph Curry flipped a pass to Thompson. After getting the ball, the 31-year-old shooting guard quickly pulled up to bury a deep triple with 12 seconds left in the contest.

Following Thompson’s jumper, the Warriors held a four-point lead over the Nets. Despite a tough 3-pointer from Irving on the following possession, it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback against the Warriors. After free throws from Thompson and Curry, the Warriors held on for a victory over the Nets, 110-106.

Thompson finished the contest with 16 points on 5-of-14 shooting from the field and 2-of-8 from deep with six boards, two assists, a steal and a block in 27 minutes against the Nets.
