The Ohio State Buckeyes are leading 7-0 in the Rose Bowl after Jeremiah Smith took a screen pass 45 yards for the score. They are leading Oregon by a touchdown after just one minute.
Will Howard, through his first seven attempts, has completed four passes for 116 yards, 86 of which have gone to Smith. The Buckeyes have opened up the game targeting Gee Scott Jr. too. He has the other 30 yards on one reception.
That said, here’s the touchdown that put the Buckeyes in the lead.

Ohio State was poised to make Smith a large piece of the puzzle.
He provided a warning prior to the game that Oregon had better not put man coverage on the Buckeyes receivers, and he’s already ensuring his mark has been left.
The Buckeyes haven’t gotten much going on the ground, but there’s not much to be concerned about there as this team is ready for revenge. After a late-season loss to Michigan, they are putting the gas on early in the Rose Bowl.
