The Ohio State Buckeyes are now up 24-0 on the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl and have three receiving touchdowns all of over 40 yards. Will Howard has had a near-perfect start to the game, and Jeremiah Smith has been on fire with two of Howard’s three receiving touchdowns.
Smith scored the first touchdown of the game, one minute into the first quarter. That was a 45-yard reception and Jayden Fielding knocked home the extra point.
Also in the first quarter, Howard threw a 42-yard bomb to Emeka Egbuka with 7:31 remaining. The Buckeyes got a field goal, putting them up 17-0 just 10 seconds into the second quarter.
Soon after, this happened, and Smith now has over 150 yards in the game.

Howard should also be noted as he has 255 yards and three touchdowns, completing nine of 14 attempts. Smith has 161 of those yards and a 32.2 yards-per-catch average. The Buckeyes defense is doing its part right now as well, holding Dillon Gabriel to just 54 yards. The Ducks running backs have 12 yards.
It has been a full team effort for the Buckeyes. Expect the momentum to continue as the Buckeyes continue to prove they are the best team in the country.
